I began my career in marketing - working at multiple agencies, industries and brands from Chicago to DC to LA - before settling at Foot Locker, Inc in NYC for 11 years leading brand marketing for multiple concepts within the portfolio. I had the opportunity to direct everything from initial brand conception for a women-centric retailer (that scaled to 33 stores and multi-million-dollar ecommerce) to driving earned, owned and operated channels across the business. With some great mentorship and internal advocacy, I was moved to the merchant side of the business where I was able to use my consumer-centric mindset to scale product and experience ideas.
In a recent chapter, I continued to broaden my expertise leading a total global retail division in the hospitality world at Legends Global. My history is a bit varied, but my learnings are compounded. I started as a marketer and worked my way across and up. My experience has made me better, and more well-rounded - becoming a merchant helped me deepen my connection to the "product" (the push pull of great product vs marketing and storytelling); learning to deliver, read and execute on a P&L has made me more results oriented vs emotional; and understanding full mechanics of operations across a hospitality dynamic was enlightening and grew my awareness around how end-to-end customer service and consumer experience impact brand impression.
I take this dimensional, multi-functional and contextual experience into the work I do with clients – with a focus on maximizing outcomes for brands, retailers, suppliers, employees – and ultimately the consumers and fans.
